Tamarama House
Involved in the final stages of this renovation, our brief was to bring together classic and contemporary. The client had an eclectic furniture collection which needed to look at home in their new contemporary renovation.
The door mouldings were designed to help soften the clean modern lines of the house. Handmade elements, including the beaded chandelier, were selected to help the client's dining table sit comfortably in the modern space.
The house was built with entertaining in mind, but is also home to small children, so each room needed to serve multiple functions. The joinery was all designed with this is mind and includes everything from a fireplace, built-in television, DJ decks, toy storage and seating.
A large collection of sentimental art was also to be included in each room. The resulting schemes were in response to these works.
